Richard Plantagenet vows to seek revenge
Summary
Mortimer is an English noble that has been imprisoned in the Tower of London for many years because of his claim to the English throne. He is Richard Plantagenet's uncle. After Mortimer tells his nephew Richard Plantagenet why he was locked in the Tower of London and the injustices his family had to bear, he dies. In this monologue Richard Plantagenet promises to remember his uncle's advice to keep the story to himself but at the same time vows to avenge the injustices he has received from Somerset and plans to go to the Parliament to restore his inheritance.
