Summary
Calvin Palmer Jr (Ice Cube) has inherited a barbershop from his father in the south side of Chicago. He decides to sell it to a loan shark named Lester Wallace (Keith David). He soon realizes how important is the barbershop to the community and tries to get the shop back. One of the barbers is Eddie, an old barber who has no clients and big mouth. He constantly compares Calvin Palmer Jr to his dad. In this monologue Eddie tells Calvin how important the barbershop is to the community.
