About this piece
Medea kills her children
Summary
The play centers on the revenge by Medea on her husband Jason after he leaves her for another woman, Glauce, the daughter of King Creon. As a revenge, Medea kills Glauce and Creon by giving them poisoned robes as a gift. To also punish Jason she decides to kill her own sons. In this monologue Medea is about to commit the deed but struggles with her own conscience. At the end she leads them onstage to kill them.
