Summary
The play is about a group of women, led by Praxagora, that try to convince the men of Athens to hand over the control of the city to women. They disguise themselves as men and enter the assembly. They try to convince the men to vote for their proposed law. Eventually the women create a socialist government where the state regulates every aspect of the economic and social life. In this monologue Praxagora, disguised as a men, tries to persuade the men in the assembly to hand the control of the city to women.
