Summary
The play is about a beautiful courtesan, Myrrhina, who seeks out a young hermit in order to seduce him and convert him to a life of pagan pleasure. After meeting two men and discussing whether there are many gods or only one god, Myrrhina asks about the hermit. Then she calls him and in this monologue, after recollecting all her conquests, she invites him to a life of sinful pleasure.
