About this piece
Drunk Bukowski reads a poem about "style"
Summary
This film is inspired by the life and writing of Charles Bukowski. After reciting a poem in a theater to a group of boisterous students, poet and alcoholic Charles Serking goes back to his seedy apartment in East Hollywood. The movie then follows his life as he gets drunk in the Hollywood bars and meets pimps, prostitutes, and all kind of shady people. He eventually falls in love with a beautiful but self destructive prostitute, Cass (Ornella Muti). This speech comes at the very beginning of the film. He is drunk and is on a stage. As he sips his alcohol, he recites this poem about style.
