Summary
Lillie is an idealistic American nurse who leaves the United States to join as a volunteer in a medical mission in the Ottoman Empire run by Dr Jude, who falls in love with her, and the older mission’s founder, Woodruff, who doesn’t think she should stay there. In this 1-2 minute monologue Woodruff confronts Lillie about Jude being in love with her and what she faces by staying in a dangerous place like Anatolia.
