Summary

In the background of this episode there is the October crisis of '62 when Kennedy threatened to fire nuclear missiles to Cuba in a face down with the Russians. Everybody is concerned and some wonder if the world is coming to an end... Towards the end of the episode everybody is leaving the office at Sterling Cooper and Pete Campbell smiles at Peggy Olson as she is leaving. They had a brief fling in the first episode and later when they had sex in Pete's office. Pete got her pregnant and she had his baby. He doesn't know about it. Pete offers her a drink, soon confesses that he loves her and he wished he had picked her when he could instead of getting married. Peggy decides to confess to Pete that she had his baby and gave him away. She tells him she could have had him if she wanted by telling him about the baby but she decided not to. She apologizes and leaves Pete Campbell in tears...
