About this piece
How the hell did we get here?
Summary
Dr. Lawrence Gordon (Cary Elwes) wakes up in a dirty, broken down and abandoned bathroom chained to a pipe. On the opposite side of the room another man, Adam (Leigh Whannell), is also chained to a pipe. In the middle of the room there is a dead man who is lying in a pool of blood, with a gun in one hand and a tape recorder in the other. The two men find two tapes and they play them in the tape recorder the dead man has in his hand. Dr. Lawrence's tape tells him he has to kill Adam by 6:00 or else his wife and daughter will die. In a series of flashbacks we find out more about them and the two men figure out they are the new victims of a serial killer who is nicknamed "The Jigsaw Killer". In this scene Dr. Lawrence finds out that Adam actually had met him before. Adam is a photographer who got hired by an ex-detective, Tapp, who was investigating the Jigsaw murders and thought that Dr. Lawrence was involved in them. Adam photographed Lawrence while he was on his way to see his secretary in a motel room...
