Summary

This is the true story of the behind-the-scenes network politics that took place when Johnny Carson retired from he "Tonight Show" and Jay Leno (Daniel Roebuck) found himself fighting for the job against David Letterman (John Michael Higgins). Jay's ruthless manager, Helen Kushnick (Kathy Bates) eventually got him the job and David Letterman, disappointed by the decision, hired top-agent Michael Ovitz to represent him to find an 11:30 talk show in another major network. In this scene Mike Ovitz meets David and his producer for the first time in his office. In this monologue Mike Ovitz presents them his view of David Letterman's future and how he will make him "one of the giants"...
