Summary

Remy is a rat that lives in Paris and dreams of becoming a chef as his hero, chef Auguste Gusteau. When fate places him at Gusteau's restaurant, Remy teams up with Linguini, a young man who works as a garbage man in the kitchen. With the help of Remy, Linguini cooks a soup that is an instant success and attracts attention to the restaurant. Famous critic Anton Ego, who had given a bad review to Gusteau's restaurant years back, decides to visit again to review it. Remy helps Linguini prepare a "Ratatouille", a vegetable dish, which the critic ends up liking. He wants to meet the chef and eventually Linguini confesses the real cook is Remy, a rat.
