About this piece
We must fight
Summary
In the third installment of the Pirates of the Caribbean we find Cutler Beckett (Tom Hollander), the head of the East India Trading Company, planning to extinguish piracy by executing all pirates. After rescuing Jack Sparrow from Davy Jone's Locker, all pirates decide to convene in the "Bethren Court" at Shipwreck Cove to discuss the matter and how to deal with the matter. The Bethren Court consists of 9 pirate lords from different seas. In the first Bethren Court all the pirates decided to entrap Calypso, the goddess of the seas and oceans into human form in order to allow men to rule the seas. Calypso is now imprisoned by the pirates and Captain Barbossa (Geoffrey Rush) suggests to release her in order to fight Cutler Beckett. In this speech Jack Sparrow tells all the pirates what he thinks is best to do. They could either hole up in Shipwreck Cove but they would die in a month. Or they could release Calypso, but he argues she would kill them all instead of helping them. Then he tells them the option that he thinks is best is to face Beckett and the East India Trading Company's fleet and fight...
