Summary

Frank Wheeler (Leonardo DiCaprio) and April Wheeler (Kate Winslet) are a young couple with two kids living in Connecticut in the 50s. Frank has a dull office job that he hates and April wants to become an actress but she is abandoning her dream. Trying to find a way out of their frustrations, they decide to leave everything behind and move to Paris. After Frank gets offered a promotion and April gets pregnant, their decision to leave becomes harder and harder... In this scene Frank finds a piece of rubber tubing in the bathroom. He realizes April wants to use it to give herself an abortion so that they can still go to Paris. Frank is enraged and after much arguing, tells April their idea to go to Paris was a childish idea.
